The 6th Class children have been learning the violin since last September. We are so proud of the progress they have made in learning to play this new musical instrument. On Monday, they performed a concert for the entire school. Thank you to Julia, their music teacher, Music Generation and Cranmore Regeneration for making it all possible! Below, you can watch Ms. Donohoe’s class performing.

Well done guys!!

Well done 3rd, 4th,5th and 6th Class children took part in the first ever PRIMARY SCHOOLS TRIATHLON at the Sports Complex last Thursday!  The children had to swim 2 lengths of the pool, jump out and run to their bike for a 1.2 km cycle followed by 800m on the track, a tidy little run for an experienced athlete!! Coach Ross McGlynn and Therese Kilgannon from Sligo Sport and Recreation assisted by what seemed to be an endless army of volunteer marshals ran this amazing event like clockwork! 259 children in total took part, all of whom got a great big cheer and a medal for their efforts!! We are very proud of you.. Many thanks to Mr.Reilly, SNA Berni Mahon and Ms McNulty for their help in organising the children and a very bifg thank you to the Lyttle Family for their help with the bikes!! 6th Class visited Carrowmore Tombs this morning as part of our study of megalithic tombs of the Stone Age. It was a great opportunity to see the remains of tombs we have been learning about for real in our own locality.
