Well done guys!!

Well done 3rd, 4th,5th and 6th Class children took part in the first ever PRIMARY SCHOOLS TRIATHLON at the Sports Complex last Thursday!  The children had to swim 2 lengths of the pool, jump out and run to their bike for a 1.2 km cycle followed by 800m on the track, a tidy little run for an experienced athlete!! Coach Ross McGlynn and Therese Kilgannon from Sligo Sport and Recreation assisted by what seemed to be an endless army of volunteer marshals ran this amazing event like clockwork! 259 children in total took part, all of whom got a great big cheer and a medal for their efforts!! We are very proud of you.. Many thanks to Mr.Reilly, SNA Berni Mahon and Ms McNulty for their help in organising the children and a very bifg thank you to the Lyttle Family for their help with the bikes!!
