Congratulations to the Junior and Senior Infants who received certificates for excellent attendance in September and October. Well done to all!
Senior Infants had a lovely morning this morning. We had the privilage of Mrs Kilcawley coming to visit us today. Peig Kilcawley is our own Ms Kilcawley’s mum.
We have been learning about school in the olden days. So Peg, Ms Kilcawley’s mum came to chat to us. Peg is a past pupil of our school. But there were no boys in her class. It was only girls.
What a fanastic time we had. Both teachers and students were captivated listening to her story.
Peg, read us a poem, that one of her teachers, Sr Phillipa, wrote and taught to Peg and her class.
Have a look.
Miss Murphy’s class had another great day with Kid’s Talk.
Five minutes Peace was very funny.
All poor Mammy wanted was five minutes peace.Did she get it?
Why not ask your child what happened in the story.
Thank you to the Mammies and Daddy who came to help us.
We cannot wait for next week’s story.
Senior Infants, along with some children from the Plaza went to Woodville Farm followed by a visit to Kevinsfort Park. You can see some more pictures from our tour below. We all had great fun.
We are celebrating Seachtain na Gaeilge in our school this week. Junior and Senior Infants had a wonderful morning in the hall for the Feis. All the children sang or said a poem. They were all brilliant. Some children were so lucky to get certs, cups and win medals. Thanks to our judges, Ms. Murphy and Ms. Flannery. A very tough job!!
We had our Annual Book Fair last week. We got a chance to view all the lovely books on Wednesday and then on the last day we bought some really nice books. We all really enjoyed it.
There was great excitemnet in Ms. O’Loughlin’s senior infants today! Santa came all the way to see us. We couldn’t believe our luck! Everyone is on the good list so far. We sang Jingle Bells and he even joined in.
