World Book Day took place today in our school. We had a fantastic day, all the children dressed up in their favourite book character. The Junior classes had a very enjoyable parade in the hall followed by a senior parade later in the day. Ms.Fahy made a fantastic job retelling the classic story, Goldilocks and the 3 Bears to all the junior classes.

Teddy Bear’s Picnic

Drama, Ms. Donohoe's Class  Tagged , , No Comments »

The teddies in the Junior Infant classroom wouldn’t go to sleep even after their bedtime story. The little girl (teacher) who was looking after the teddies promised them a picnic if they went to sleep for her and so they did. However the little girl didn’t know how to plan a picnic so she asked the children in Junior Infants for their help. They helped her to pack the basket full of yummy food. They packed sandwiches, fruit, biscuits, cake, chocolate and lemonade. When they were ready to go, the little girl and the children woke up the teddies and they set off on their picnic. Below, the children tell of some of the mimed activities they got up to with their teddies after the picnic.
